Learn and train in Estonia during 3-months mentoring period and compete worldwide with thousand other green business ideas.

What is ClimateLaunchpad about?

ClimateLaunchpad is the World's Largest Green Business Ideas Competition where you have the possibility to battle your way to global impact. By joining the competition and receiving the help you fast track your green business idea and will learn how to get it funded and launched. Worldwide.

ClimateLaunchpad welcomes innovations in renewable energy, food and agriculture, water, transportation, industrial technology, IoT, smart sustainable city or any other way that is more energy efficient or resources efficient. Check the list of startups that have been supported by our programs.

ClimateLaunchpad's mission is to address the negative impacts of climate change by the ways of innovation, invention and entrepreneurship. A green future demands thousands of innovations challenging the current business models. The competition supports aspiring and promising cleantech entrepreneurs with training, coaching and networking opportunities. ClimateLaunchpad operates on a global scale, currently in over 46 countries including most EU countries, India, African countries and Australia.

ClimateLaunchpad is taking place 5th year in Estonia. During this short period of time youthful teams have achieved incredible successes and conquered continents. Join them and send your application by 3th of June 2019.

TRAIN

Yep, of course there is prize money for the top three Grand Final winners. The real prize? The top ten moves on to the renowned Climate-KIC Accelerator.

ClimateLaunchpad Program Timeline 2019 - important dates to note:

March – June – Applications open for participants

3rd June – Application deadline

12th June – Selected participants of ClimateLaunchpad announced

28th -30th June – Business Boot Camp in Estonia – kick-off of the program

July – August – Coaching period: mentoring sessions, work with your idea, business plan building etc.

August/September – Estonian Final in Tallinn November – Grand Final (Location will be confirmed)

3CULAR participated last year's ClimateLaunchpad program and since that their journey has only went to uphill. After getting all needed mentoring and coaching sessions, the team was one out of three teams winning the ticket to Grand Final that took place in Scotland. Team was participating with 135 other cleantech startups and they made it to the TOP 10!

3CULAR is eco-innovating 3D printing using wood waste and circular design to produce new value objects. Now they entered to Climate-KIC Accelerator program to get more fundings and mentoring which will help them to go even further.


Sympower team had mission to make home energy systems more efficient. They participated in the first Estonian ClimateLaunchpad BootCamp in Estonia in 2015. They created a cleaner and more sustainable energy system by reducing the need for fossil fuels through synchronising energy consumption with renewable resources. Last year they raised one million euros from angel investors and investment fund Enfuro Ventures. Today they have offices in many countries with head office in Amsterdam.



Startup Reverse Resources knew that textile industry is the second biggest polluting industry in the world following energy sector. They focused on textile waste and struggled for long how to turn the solution into business model and make it financially sustainable. By now they have been rewarded highly, after ClimateLaunchpad III place in Estonian National Final they got €150,000 Global Change Award grant from the non-profit H&M Foundation. They have carried out extensive research among major fabric and garment factories in China and Bangladesh. As well Reverse Resources brought home the second price from the Dutch Postcode Lottery Green Challenge, one of the biggest awards and recognition a green startup could get in Europe!

Imagine, how does it feel to compete among thousand of cleantech startups and you get the first place in the world. Amazing, doesn't it? Estonian startup Gelatex did it! Gelatex made revolution in leather industry by discovering technology to produce leather-like material made from gelatin. Their production is fully natural and no chemicals used.
